Top Signs That You Should Redesign Your Site

The time comes every now and then when you realize that an asset needs to be upgraded or replaced entirely. That asset could be as simple as a pair of running shoes to something more substantial like a new car. Having to decide on when to upgrade is usually pretty straightforward. Do your shoes have holes in them? Then it may be time to buy some new shoes. Car not starting anymore? You get the point.

However, when we compare it to business-related assets, things aren’t as straightforward. Having to decide when to let go of old solutions and adapt to new ones is no small decision.

Here at BNP Engage, we see a lot of clients struggle with these issues when it comes to their own websites. It doesn’t matter if the company has been around for decades or is a new start-up. Deciding when it’s time to redesign your website can become a complex endeavor.

Below are some telltale signs that it might be time for a website redesign.

Your Users Are Not Engaged With Your Content

Your website should be performing as an important online tool in your business’s arsenal. If you find your website is not converting the way it should then it means users don’t have a clear path of what you want them to do.

Do you find users landing on your website and leaving just as quickly as they arrived? Then it may be time to re-evaluate your website’s content and online strategy which could entail a full redesign.

Your Business Has Changed

A business can change and grow rapidly. As a business owner, you may find that your own business has evolved over time. Whether it’s a reorganization in leadership, branding changes, new products, or a change in services offered.

These are just some examples of changes your business may experience. If you find that your current website is not aligning with your business’s goals any longer, it may be time to redesign your website from the ground up.

Not Responsive and Outdated Looking

Does your website provide an optimal viewing experience for different devices such as tablets and smartphones? If not, then you should definitely consider a redesign to make your website responsive.

These days more web traffic than ever is coming from mobile devices and your website needs to be able to display properly for these users.

At the same time, you also need to make sure your website is designed well and looks current. Research shows users are more likely to trust a website that is well designed and looks good. If you find your website is lacking in this department then it may be a sign that it’s time to redesign it.
